Burnley are seemingly on track to secure their sport in the Europa league next season, ending a 52-year absence from the tournament.

The likelihood of the 'Clarets' qualifying for the European competition is so high, that Sean Dyche may as well being his preparations for their participation.

The Burnley boss said: ''We're excited. Some people are suggesting otherwise, but how can it not be a positive for Burnley football club to have the chance of European competition?''

He noted: ''The players deserve huge credit. We've come a mile since the beginning of the season. A long way. We want to take on the last two games and perform properly.''

As for their opponents Brighton, a goalless draw is not disastrous in their campaign but with if any significant upsets occur, they could still potentially be sent down.

With their final three matches against United, City and Liverpool, the 'Seagulls' boss Chris Hughton was understandably wary of the battle they face.

He said: ''We'll see, won't we? You have to look forward to that challenge and the next one is at home to Man United. We've had two very good performances away to them and we're going to have to show these qualities in the next games in the belief we can get more points.''
