Wolfsburg face Holstein Kiel in the second leg of their Bundesliga play-off on Monday as they look to ensure they retain their place among German football's elite.

The Bundesliga side claimed a 3-1 victory in the first leg, largely thanks to Divock Origi's timely return to form as he scored for the second game running following a spell of 12 games without scoring, before producing a wonderful assist for Younes Malli.

Monday's game will be Origi's last for the club before his return to parent club Liverpool and the Wolfsburg fans would likely give anything for a repeat performance.

Despite the margin of the win, Wolfsburg didn't have things all their own way in the first leg, as Kiel fought bravely in their quest for back-to-back promotions.

The minnows will also be looking to mark the departure of one of their own on Monday night, with manager Markus Anfang taking charge of his last game as boss before moving on to hometown club Koln.

Away goals do count, meaning that Wolfsburg need only avoid defeat or lose by no more than two clear goals whilst scoring themselves to retain Bundesliga status.

A 3-1 win for Kiel at the Holstein-Stadion would be enough for extra time and potentially penalties.

Possible lineups:

Holstein Kiel: Kronholm; Herrmann, Schmidt, Czichos (c), Van den Bergh; Kinsombi; Schindler, Peitz, Drexler; Ducksch, Seydel.

Wolfsburg: Casteels; Verhaegh, Brooks, Knoche, William; Guilavogui, Arnold (c); Brekalo, Malli, Steffen; Origi
