Italy's interim coach Luigi Di Biagio has named his squad for the upcoming friendlies, with Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon returning despite previously announcing his retirement.

Buffon heads the list of goalkeepers called up for the game, ably supported by Mattia Perin of Genoa and AC Milan youngster Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura receives his first call-up since November 2016 when he was included in the squad for the games against Liechtenstein and Germany.

AC Milan youngster Patrick Cutrone is rewarded for his impressive recent form with a first call-up up front, though he faces a challenge to dislodge the likes of Ciro Immobile and Andrea Belotti. Fiorentina's Federico Chiesa also receives his maiden 'Azzurri' call.
