Bruno Fernandes ill as De Gea returns false positive
Manchester United manager, Ralf Rangnick, revealed that Bruno Fernandes is ill and De Gea returned a false positive during his pre match interview on Saturday.
The Portuguese, Bruno Fernandes has taken ill and he did not feature in the game against Tottenham. This comes just three days before Manchester United face Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.
The centremidfielder was unable to train this Friday due to illness. This was reported by his manager Ralf Rangnick.
The German manager also revealed that David De Gea returned a positive Coronavirus test this Saturday, however this was false. This was confirmed by a second test taken by the goalkeeper on the same day.
"Because of this, he will start", confirmed Ragnick in respect to the Spaniard.
