Brown and Naismith avoid bans for confrontation
Scott Brown and Steven Naismith have avoided retrospective action from the Scottish FA for an incident in Saturday's match between Hearts and Celtic.
The two Scotsman were playing for their respective teams, Celtic and Hearts, in a Scottish Premiership match on Saturday when the incident occurred.
Celtic captain Brown appearaed to suddenly throw his arm back when Naismith was stood directly behind him. The two players then confronted each other but were separated by the referee.
Naismith had kicked out at opposition winger Jonny Hayes while he was on the ground too, which seemed to go unnoticed by the on-field officials at the time.
'Sky Sports' report that the Scottish FA have decided against punishing the two players for their coming together.
Hearts shocked the defending Scottish champions in the game winning 1-0, as Brendan Rogers fielded a weakened side ahead of a crucial Champions League qualifying fixture on Tuesday against AEK Athens.
