Chris Hughton has told 'Sky Sports' that he is happy with their transfer deals so far, and will only add new players to the squad that he believes will really make a difference.

Hughton has made seven signings so far this transfer window, the latest of which was Percy Tau's move from the Mamelodi Sundowns.

The seagulls have also secured Jason Steele, Yves Bissouma, Bernando, Florin Andone, and Leon Balogun.

The Brighton boss has said that he's now happy with his squad.

He told 'Sky Sports:' "We are happy with what we have got and we will only bring in [players] if we feel it is right for the team and right for the squad."

"At this moment we are happy with where we are and we have got good numbers, but we would tweak things if we can."

Hughton has also been reluctant to let some players go, rejecting bids for Jiri Skalak and Oliver Norwood.

Hughton spoke about the possibility of keeping the pair:

"Jiri almost went out on loan last season and of course Ollie Norwood did so they are two players who are very much part of what we are doing here but with the opportunity, yes they might go."

"But what they have done is give us really good strength at this moment in preseason and both of them have worked very, very hard."
