LAFC plan on breaking through to Major League Soccer next season under former Swansea manager Bob Bradley.

Bob Bradley, once of Premier League failure at Swansea City, is overlooking the United States' most exciting new football project in L.A.

Los Angeles Football Club is in its last stages of planning ahead of a grand plan for the side to be the latest to break into the MLS.

The team will play in a new £260,000 stadium in the heart of Los Angeles. The stadium is erected on the site of the LA Sports Arena, previously home of the Lakers, the Clippers, Olympic boxing and even iconic appearances by Martin Luther King and Bruce Springsteen.

The project has also already attracted firepower. 28-year old Mexican international Carlos Vela has agreed to join the club, and co-owner Tony Penn has said told the 'Daily Mail' that the side were "thrilled to get him".

"A player in his prime at 28, an attacking, dynamic threat who represents the way we want to play. He really appeals to our Latino audience and he is sprinkled with stardust."

"He came here for a 30-hour visit we had a thousand people show up like a rock star was here. He is comfortable in the star role. And he really wanted to come because he was being pursued by big clubs in Europe.

"He really liked the idea of coming to LA and being the signature player to start us off. Finding him was like finding unicorn."
