Michael Bradley insists that Alessandro Florenzi will never forget his brilliant 60-yard strike against Barcelona on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old earned his side a 1-1 draw with Luis Enrique’s side in their Champions League group stage clash with a phenomenal lob from just inside his own half.

And Bradley, who played alongside Florenzi at Roma between 2012 and 2014 prior to his move to Toronto, insists that the versatile midfielder should savour his strike.

Speaking exclusively to Goal after Toronto’s 2-0 loss to New York City he said: "I think that knowing him, knowing what those colours, and that club and that stadium mean to him that’s not going to be a goal that he forgets anytime quickly and he shouldn’t! It was an incredible goal.”

Bradley also praised Roma for their spirited display against Barca, with the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar blunted at Stadio Olimpico.

“I saw the game. It was a great result for Roma, obviously playing against Barcelona is never easy, Roma certainly put a lot into it, they put a lot of guys behind the ball and they did everything they could to make the game difficult,” he added.
