Borussia Dortmund without Meunier after testing positive for COVID-19

Thomas Meunier tested positive for coronavirus before the start of Dortmund's trip to Switzerland. The Belgian will have to self-isolate so he may not be able to play at the start of the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund suffered a setback before the beginning of the pre-season tour of Switzerland ahead of the Bundesliga season. The Dortmund coach, Marco Rose, will not be able to play Thomas Meunier as he has tested positive for COVID-19. 

Despite having tested negative in previous tests, he came back positive after two days rest. The Belgian will now have to self-isolate. 

The club themselves released a statement on their official media channels. The statement which the former PSG man a speedy and symptom free recovery

The German defender is in danger of missing the beginning of the Bundesliga season as they face Eintracht Frankfurt on 14th August, three days before the German Super Cup tie with Bayern Munich.
