Borussia Dortmund have extended their sponsorship with sportswear company Puma. According to several media outlets, the club will receive up to 30 million euros a year until 2028.

The club announced on Thursday that a new agreement will replace the old one that ends in 2020, currently worth 10 million euros a year.

The partnership between Borussia Dortmund and Puma started in 2012-13 and they currently have a 5% share in the club.

Puma president, Björn Gulden, has been on the Club Oversight Board since 2014.

"Puma is not only a sponsor but also a major shareholder of the club. This is something that shows the great identification of Puma and its employees around the world (with Borussia Dortmund). Our relationships are more than just business relationships," the club's managing director, Hans-Joachim Watzke said.
