Boateng: 'Hard to understand Yaya's claims'
Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng has come out in defence of his former manager Pep Guardiola, following claims made about the Catalan by Yaya Toure.
In an interview with 'France Football' earlier this week, Toure sensationally claimed that Guardiola does not treat African players the same way as he does with the white players in his teams.
Boateng, who is of Ghanaian descent, has said he struggles to see where Yaya Toure is coming from.
"I cannot share that opinion at all. I have never had a problem with him (Pep Guardiola)," Boateng said in 'India Today'.
"In the contrary, I found as a coach he was super. And that is why it is hard for me to comprehend."
Boateng was a regular under Guardiola at Bayern Munich, as the Bavarian side won the Bundesliga in each of his seasons there.
