Obi Mikel spent the large part of his career at Chelsea where he was important and achieved great success with the Blues, but at the age of 30 he went to Asian football.
After two seasons at Tianjin Teda, Obi Mikel returned to England to play for Middlesbrough. His contract at the club has now expired.
The midfielder now has various options at 32, since he is now too old to join a big European club.
According to 'BeIn Sports', Besiktas are going to try and persuade Obi Mikel again as he is a free agent and so they could get him for nothing.
Besiktas have decided to first try and sign free agents before making bids for other footballers.
