Robert Lewandowski has spoken to 'Movistar' three days before his first 'Clasico' at the Santiago Bernabeu and, when asked about Karim Benzema and the Ballon d'Or, the Pole recalled the 2020 edition.

Real Madrid and Barcelona will play this Sunday a great match that will be broadcast all over the world and that will have in the Benzema-Lewandowski duel one of the main attractions at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Lewandowski was interviewed on 'Movistar' and spoke about the Ballon d'Or gala, which takes place in Paris next Monday. It will be the 66th edition and everything points to Benzema as the winner.

"Yes, he might be one of the favourites, so if they don't cancel it, he will probably win it," Lewandowski said with a smile.

The now Barcelona striker won every title possible in the 2019-20 season, with Hansi Flick on the Bayern bench. That was also his best season on an individual level and he was the clear favourite to win the Ballon d'Or.ç

However, due to the COVID-19 and the fact that some leagues such as the French league were suspended, the organisers opted to cancel this edition, one of the clearest in recent years.
