Benzema fluffs his lines
Karim Benzema had a great chance to give Real Madrid the lead against Tottenham on Tuesday but contrived to put the ball wide when he really ought to have done better.
Real started the game well and should have taken the lead after just five minutes.
First, excellent work down the right saw Achraf Hakimi keep the ball alive and cross for Cristiano Ronaldo who headed against the post. The ball dropped to Karim Benzema with the goal gaping, but the French international missed the target completely.
'Los Blancos were made to pay as Tottenham then took the lead.
