Bayern Munich have the possibility to buy Philippe Coutinho at the end of the season, but according to 'SportBild', the German outfit will not exercise the option to buy him. Barcelona will have to take care of the player once his loan ends at the Allianz Arena.

Philippe Coutinho is having a rollercoaster season at Bayern Munich. The player shines intermittently at the German side and the board consider that this is insufficient to exercise the option to buy they have.

According to 'SportBild', the Brazilian will move back to Barcelona once his loan spell at the Allianz Arena ends. The player hasn't convinced the club so far this season and it seems that the Catalan outfit will have to look for another destination for him when the summer arrives.

The player has started 17 matches and played in 23 so far this season. He has managed to score 7 goals and get 6 assists, some numbers that show, if he keeps it up, he is on his way to improving his brightest season with regards to those numbers.

The ex-Liverpool man still hasn't found a permanent home after leaving Anfield and he hasn't managed to fit in at Barcelona or Bayern. Still, the board have until the end of May to think about whether to exercise the option to buy, a similar situation to his teammate Ivan Perisic.
