Hasan Salihamidzic, Bayern Munich's sporting director, has not remained silent and publicly responded to Robert Lewandowski, after the Pole expressed his desire to leave the German club and analyse Barcelona's offer.
"Robert Lewandowski called me on Monday. Among other things, we discussed his public comments. And I clearly explained to him our position on his contract situation," the Bavarian sporting director told the 'Bild' newspaper.
In the same vein, he gave further details of the Polish striker's situation: "Herbert Heiner, Oliver Kahn and I have had several conversations about his desire to leave the club, so I would like to leave it at that and say no more.
In doing so, Bayern Munich are once again defending their position that Lewandowski is still under contract until mid-2023 and should stay at the club to fulfil his contract, regardless of his desire to leave the club.
As he has declared publicly, the striker intends to leave the German club as soon as possible, but Bayern do not want to let him go easily. It seems that this sopa opera will have many chapters...
