Bartomeu: Neymar not for sale
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu says French giants PSG cannot invoke Neymar's €222m release clause without breaking FFP rules.
Neymar is not for sale, that's according to Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu, who says that the Brazilian international will remain with the club this summer despite speculation linking him with a world-record €222m move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In an interview with Associated Press, Bartomeu said that: "Neymar is not for sale."
"He has a contract with us for the next four years and he's part of our plans, He's part of our team, he's part of the triumvirate ('MSN')"
When quizzed about Neymar's release clause he replied: "These clauses are impossible to activate, at least if you want to comply with 'Financial Fair Play'. If anyone doesn't want to comply then yes, they can be activated."
