The French central defender will be out of action for the next three weeks after suffering a soleus injury in his club's 1-0 loss to rivals Espanyol in the Supercopa.

The Spanish giants published on their website the following statement: "Test conducted by the medical services on Wednesday morning have revealed that Jeremy Mathieu has injured the soleus in his right leg, which means he is going to be sidelined for an estimated three weeks".
