Juventus travel to the Camp Nou in their Champions League opener with both sides hoping to get their European campaigns off to the perfect start.

The two heavyweights of Group D go head-to-head on Tuesday night in Barcelona and both sides will be looking to secure a positive result.

The two sides met in the 2015 Champions League final, which Barca won, but Juve exacted their revenge in last year's quarter-finals, winning 3-0 on aggregate on their way to the final.

Ernesto Valverde will be without Rafinha and Arda Turan as they are both out through injury but Ivan Rakitic should be fit after playing 90 minutes against Espanyol. Meanwhile Ousmane Dembele will be hoping to make his first start for Barcelona after making his debut from the bench last weekend.

Giorgio Chiellini is expected to miss out with a calf injury for the Italian champions while Claudio Marchisio and Marko Pjaca are long-term absentees. Juan Cuadrado is suspended, and Alex Sandro and Sami Khedira are doubts.

Potential lineups for Barcelona v Juventus:

Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Alba, Umtiti, Pique, Semedo; Rakitic, Iniesta, Busquets; Dembele, Messi, Suarez

Juventus: Buffon; De Sciglio, Benatia, Rugani, Asamoah; Pjanic, Matuidi, Costa Dybala; Mandzukic, Higuain
