After the La Liga fixture draw took place, Barcelona now know the official dates of their upcoming matches. Valverde's team will get their campaign underway against Betis and will play their last game of the season against Real Sociedad.

Ernesto Valverde's Barcelona team will get their season underway at home to Real Betis on August 19. It is a repeat of both teams opening fixture from last season,which ended in a 6-2 Barca win with Luis Suárez scoring a hat-trick.

The Catalans will then face Alaves away on August 27. A match that will be a replay of last year's Copa del Rey final.

One of the key dates for Barcelona is when they face last years champions Real Madrid. The first 'Clásico' of the season will take place on the weekend of December 20 at the Bernabéu, with the reverse fixture taking place on May 6 at the Camp Nou.

Another key date for Valverde's men is the fixture against Atletico Madrid. The first of the matches will take place in Madrid on October 15, with the reverse fixture scheduled for the Camp Nou on March 4.

Barcelona will finish the La Liga campaign at the Camp Nou when they face Real Sociedad on May 20.
