Ernesto Valverde will oversee his first offical match of the season against Real Madrid in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup. Having signed few players, he could continue where Luis Enrique left off.
The manager's main doubt is in goal. In the team's pre-season , Jasper Cillessen has been favoured over Ter Stegen, the German keeper joining the rest of the squad after the Confederations Cup.
The right flank is another question mark for Valverde. Sergi Roberto can play at right-back instead of Aleix Vidal. He can also play in midfield, in the place of Rakitic.
Finally, Barcelona's new strike force appears to be well defined. The man to accompany Luis Suarez and Leo Messi will be Gerard Deulofeu.
