The Catalan giants have reached out to the Argentinian coach and the Spanish club, offering them the use of their medical team. The news of Berizzo's cancer diagnosis has touched Barcelona particularly, remembering the cases of Eric Abidal and Tito Vilanova in the last few years.

This is the latest show of support to Eduardo Berizzo as the news of his diagnosis spreads around the football world, and it shows that some things are much more important than the sport itself.

Countless players, coaches and clubs have already shown solidarity with the Argentinian coach, who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

"The Barcelona president called me and offered me the experience of the club's medical team. I think it's a great gesture," said Jose Castro, the Sevilla president on the radio station for the La Liga outfit.
