Barcelona end Philippe Coutinho pursuit
The Catalan club's long-lasting chase for Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho has reportedly come to an end, with Barcelona refusing to up the bid.
According to several reports in England, Barcelona have given up and decided to end negotiations with Liverpool over Philippe Coutinho.
The Reds stood firm, rejecting up to three bids from the Catalans, last of which was understood to be in the region of £114m, including add-ons that is.
However, though it does come as a relief for Klopp's team, they will now have to work to repair the relationship with the player, who was keen on a move to the Camp Nou and even handed in a transfer request.
Liverpool were reluctant to selling the 25-year-old, but still demanded up to £135m for the Brazilian, with the Catalans not willing to meet such a fee.
