Just minutes before facing Celta, Barcelona released a strong statement criticising both La Liga and the RFEF on Friday.
The Catalan club believe they are being unfairly treated regarding the scheduling of their first team's matches.
"FC Barcelona have expressed on several occasions throughout the current season their disagreement with the criteria set by La Liga and the RFEF when it comes to determining the kick-off times of our first team's fixtures," they stated.
"We believe, as our manager Hansi Flick publicly stated yesterday — comments we fully support and endorse — that the governing bodies of Spanish football should show greater consideration to clubs like ours, who are involved in every major competition during the final stretch of the campaign.
"This is not a new issue, and while we recognise the difficulty of organising a calendar packed with fixtures, FC Barcelona will continue to defend their interests before both national and international football bodies to push for a more coherent schedule.
"In this regard, FC Barcelona will file a formal complaint to the relevant authorities to avoid future scenarios that may harm the real protagonists of football — the players," they concluded.
