The Spanish Champions are believed to be interested in the Everton defender, who is currently on Copa America duty with Argentina.
Barcelona have identified Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori as a potential defensive candidate, according to Spanish publication Sport.
The stated source claim that Barca's sporting director, Robert Fernandez, travelled to the Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, to watch the 25-year-old in action as Argentina booked their place in the Copa America Centenario semi-finals with a 4-1 win over Venezuela.
The Argentinian only joined the Toffees last summer for €12.9 million, a fee which may be increased should Barcelona come knocking.
Other defensive targets the Spanish champions have been linked to include Las Palmas' Mauricio Lemos, Lyon's Samuel Umtiti and PSG's Marquinhos
