The Spanish football federation (RFEF) have received a letter from Barcelona warning they will be playing next season (2023-24) in Montjuic, due to the works which are going to start at the Camp Nou.
Barcelona have written to the RFEF to say that their first team will be playing next season's home matches at the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys de Montjuïc, something which they will have to notify UEFA of as well.
Barca needed to write to explain which stadium will host the domestic and European games in the 2023-24 season. It was something which, according to 'EFE', the club have recently done.
This comes as Barcelona are negotiating a financial deal worth €1.5 billion with different investment funds to carry out the works to the training ground which is a reworking project of the Sportify Camp Nou and its surrounding areas.
If they get the money, Barcelona will start the remodelling works this very summer, forcing the first team to play their home games at the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys de Montjuïc until November 2024, when it's planned they'll be able to return to their home.
