Barca to hope for another miracle

Another shocking defeat away from home will force Enrique's men into action at the Camp Nou to try to overturn the 3-0 result at the Juventus Stadium.

The home side came out to the Juventus Stadium with a different intensity to that of the visitors. Holding a high line of pressure, it just looked too easy to avoid Barcelona playing from the back.

Luis Enrique's team looked shaky and threatened to give the ball away in dangerous positions, before Dybala banged in the first goal. Cuadrado was invited into the box from the right wing, and he set the ball up for Dybala who, in plenty of space, turned around to brilliantly find the bottom corner.

The home crowd was roaring, and the noise seemed to push the team despite Barca claiming possession. Juventus' back four were strong and organised and were only broken down by an inch-perfect through ball from Messi to find Iniesta. The Spaniard's finish was palmed away by Buffon.

Less tha a minute after Iniesta had the chance to equalise, Dybala curled a shot from the edge of the area past Ter Stegen to the home supporters' delight. From then on, Allegri's side were happy to sit back and rely on their solid defence, which gave away no clear chances to see off Barca before the break.

Barcelona created more danger in the opening minutes of the second half, coming close to cutting the difference in half through Leo Messi. However, it was the home side who would score again after Mascherano could not hold off a strong Chiellini, who headed past Ter Stegen.

After that, it was back to a defensive stance for the home side, who were comfortable both on and off the ball. The back four were an example of concentration and sacrifice, and proved exactly why they give the ball away less than any other Champions League defence.

A hard-working performance by Allegri's men to cancel out their opposition earned them a great result ahead of their Camp Nou visit. Two consecutive Champions League miracles would be very impressive from Luis Enrique's team, but can they keep up these inconstant performances for the rest of the season?
