Barcelona's transfer business this summer has regained hope amongst 'Los Cules' that the Catalan club will soon return to the top. This has come about thanks to three so called economic levers that the club have "pulled" in order to facilitate transfers and deal with the difficult situation they have put themselves in during recent years.
Not everything is rosey at the Camp Nou, however. The club have a serious problem in regards to the registration of their players in La Liga. Initially, the board believed that there would not be an issue after providing all the correct financial information to the league.
However, according to 'El Partidazo de COPE', La Liga are not convinced with their finances. Although, one thing for certain is that Barca are a lot closer to reaching the financial fair play threshold than before but, not close enough for the league to allow them to register their siginings.
The reason for La Liga's decision is that the organization are only taking into account 517 million euros of investment resulting from the first two levers, not the forecasted 667. 517 million is the figure that Barca have in their account currently. Therefore, a 150 million euro gap in finances exists and so, this will have to be filled by a new move for additional finance.
The leading solution is to activate the fourth economic lever the club has in mind. This being, selling up to 49% of Barcelona Studios and depositing the some 100 million euros which would see them reach La Liga's target figure, thereby faciliting the registration of their new and renewed players.
