Barca stars beg Neymar to reject PSG
Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Gerard Pique are all believed to have tried to convince Neymar to reject the overtures of PSG amid talk of a world-record move.
The Parisian side are reportedly prepared to invoke the Brazilian's huge €222m release clause but Neymar's Barcelona team-mates don't want him to leave.
It was reported on Saturday that Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu had called a meeting with the player in a bid to convince him to stay. However, the meeting lasted just 15 minutes and it is believed that Bartomeu was unsuccessful.
Step forward Messi, Suarez and Pique. Spanish publication 'Mundo Deportivo' reports that the trio have already discussed the matter with the former Santos man at their New Jersey training camp.
No doubt Lionel Messi will have pulled the 25-year-old up on the suggestions that he was sick of playing in Messi's shadow at the Camp Nou.
Fellow Spanish source 'Marca' claims that Barcelona's move for Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho is a last-ditch attempt to convince Neymar to stay at the club, with the pair being very close friends. Thoug the same sources also suggests that PSG may feel to meet Financial Fair Play rules if they do go ahead with a move.
