According to 'Sport', Barça are already working on their current squad issues and are planning to renew some positions for the following course. A '9', a winger, a midfielder and a central defender, the zones to be reinforced.

The change on the bench has not been enough to completely change the course of Barcelona this year. The 'Clásico' served to show that Leo Messi, perhaps, was right when he exposed that the group was not prepared to win the Champions League.

The Argentinean striker himself was not at his best during El Clasico. For that reason, the club wants to be to the height of '10' and to prepare an ambitious project with a view to the next campaign. Leo Messi has been feeling lonely upfront since Luis Suarez got injured, and the team's performances have suffered because of it.

According to 'Sport', Barça is already working to elaborate a team of "winners". To do so, there are positions that need to be strengthened once the summer transfer market opens.

With Gerard Piqué's injury scares and the doubtful performances from Samuel Umtiti and Clément Lenglet, the club want to bring in a defensive powerhouse.

Despite the additions of Frenkie de Jong and Arthur in recent years, another midfielder is also in the cards for Barça. This could also mean the departure of some of the club's current players, like Ivan Rakitic or Arturo Vidal. Both were close to leaving in January.

Beyond the future recoveries of Ousmane Dembélé and Luis Suárez, the club wants to add two more players in the attacking zone: a winger who can make return to the 4-3-3 of the last years and a trustworthy number '9'. Two signings that would cause some 'overbooking' with Messi, Griezmann, Braithwaite and Ansu Fati, plus those mentioned above.

Departures and signings that would therefore cause the partial renovation is in need of for next season. Until then, Barça will fight for the two titles they still have at stake, LaLiga and the Champions League.
