Vitor Roque opened the scoring in the Sao Paulo-Athletico Parananense match. He scored the first goal since the Catalan press announced an agreement in principle with FC Barcelona, with whom he would sign until 2028. However, the match ended in a 2-1 defeat for his team.

The 18-year-old Vitor Roque, who has reportedly already reached an agreement in principle with Barcelona, celebrated with a goal against Sao Paulo. However, the goal was not enough for Athletico Paranaense to earn the three points, as the team ended up losing 2-1.

Vitor Roque scored after 11 minutes. He received a cross-field pass from Vitor Bueno and slotted home without hesitation. He put Athletico Paranaense ahead, but his joy was short-lived.

In the 18th minute, a brilliant move from Argentina's Jonathan Calleri saw Uruguay's Gabriel Neves tap in the rebound for Sao Paulo to equalise.

The comeback came at the start of the second half, when after 46 minutes, in a team move, Calleri set up Luciano to make it 2-1 in the eleventh round of the Brazilian Championship.

Vitor Roque did not finish the match. He was replaced shortly before the end, in the 81st minute, by Marcelo Cirino.

Sao Paulo reached 18 points. They are now six points behind leaders Botafogo, who visit Cuiaba, while Athletico Paranaense remain on 16 points.
