Barca already has the 'go-ahead' from the City Council to begin work on the Camp Nou. The Consistory has already approved the 1st phase of the licence, according to the club.
The building permit includes the tasks related to earthworks, retaining walls and perimeter screens and foundations for the construction of the basin that is developed in the underground levels for the subsequent execution of the main work.
Thus, in addition to this licence to work in the subsoil, Barcelona also have the permits to demolish the entire area of the third tier of the Camp Nou and can now proceed with the works in these two areas.
At the same time, FC Barcelona and Barcelona City Council continue to make technical progress on the building permit for the renovation of the stadium, with the idea, according to the statement issued by the Barcelona club, of "finalising the permit and approving it as soon as possible".
