Barca offer Puyol the chance to return
'Mundo Deportivo' reports a proposal from Barcelona to the ex-player so that he takes up the vacancy left by Pep Segura's departure.
After the return of Victor Valdes and Patrick Kluivert or the return of Eric Abidal, Barca are continuing to try and bring back big names from the past to help in the development of the club.
The latest proposal, according to 'Mundo Deportivo' is for Carles Puyol to return as sporting manager at the club, a middle man between the coaching staff and the board.
Puyol was working with Andoni Zubizarreta when the ex.goalkeeper was the sporting director, but the legendary central defender resigned the same day Zubizarreta was sacked.
It has been four and a half years since then and Puyol's ties with Barcelona are still very strong. The club apparently value his knowhow, his versatility and the good relationship he has with past and present leaders at the club.
The cited media outlet assures that Puyol is thinking about the offer of the job which is a very important and high pressure job.
