Despite constant speculation over Antoine Griezmann and Neymar, Barcelona have other pressing matters to deal with in this transfer market. Namely, they want to find a long-term replacement for Jordi Alba, whilst Diego Simeone's insistence on signing Nelson Semedo could lead them tosign a new right-back as well.

Antoine Griezmann and Neymar may be grabbing all the Barça related headlines this summer, but the club have other matters they need to attend to in the transfer window. The club will at the very least need to find some backup for Jordi Alba at left-back, whilst the future of the right-back spot is up in the air.

'AS' are reporting today that Simeone's insistence on signing Semedo is real, although the differences between the two clubs over Griezmann could prove to be a stumbling block in a potential transfer. If he finally does go, Barcelona will have to find a replacement.

The Spanish champions are already searching the market for a replacement in case Semedo does go. Dani Alves, fresh off of winning the MVP award at the Copa America, could be a cheap option after he finished his PSG contract, although he doesn't seem to be the club's first choice.

On the other side of the defence, another left-back to provide competition for and take the strain off Jordi Alba is a necessity. After standing out for most of the season, Alba seemed to run out of steam towards the end of the season, and Barcelona paid the price. The experience of Filipe Luis could be a good option, although the Brazilian hasn't ruled out a return to his home country.

A much younger option could be Junior Firpo. The Real Betis player, who starred for Spain at the Euro U21s recently, is one of the most in-demand footballers in La Liga at the moment, although he would prove to be much more expensive than Filipe Luis.
