Despite silencing many of his critics at the start of the season, Barcelona midfielder Paulinho has once again become the target of barbs from the press, with Santiago Segurola openly criticising the Brazilian.

The former 'Marca' and 'Onda Cero' journalist hit out at the former Tottenham midfielder a couple of days ago, saying that his current poor run of form is "the real Paulinho" and he took advantage of the 29-year-old's poor showing in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to further put the boot in.

In fact, Segurola went as far as to say that Paulinho is the only problem Barca have, with their squad being just one player away from being perfect.

"Barca lack an 11th player. Yesterday (Tuesday) they needed some quality to be able to find a way forward against Chelsea's packed defence. The club is too big for Paulinho. None of Barca's three signings were on the pitch at the full-time whistle. In the end they had to bring on a player who has been on the verge of leaving the club for the last two years (Aleix Vidal)," he explained in an interview with 'RAC 1'.

"We all know who the other ten players are, but we don't know who is the 11th. Yesterday (Tuesday) they needed a player to relieve the burden on Messi and Iniesta but there wasn't one," he concluded.
