Brazilian football has plenty of young talents and Real Madrid normally looks for players from over there. The latest youngster is Reinier, but there are also others like Marcos Paulo on the agenda. Barcelona have already met with the Fluminense player and they are keeping a close eye on him.

Reinier is with the Brazil U23 national team, but he has apparently already passed his medical so he just needs to sign the contract and wait until he turns 18.

Brazilian youngsters are shining in their home country and 'AS' recalls that last season another footballer performed excellently at just 18. His name is Marcos Paulo and he belongs to Fluminense.

He played 35 matches, scored six goals and gave four assists. That caught the eye of Barca who ended up meeting his inner circle last summer.

The Catalan club ended up offering up to five million euros after meeting with his family. Fluminense refused that amount as they considered it to be insufficient

That said, Fluminense must be careful they do not wait until his contract is close to running out since that would reduce his price. His buyout clause is 45 million euros.

The Brazilian club would accept a sale for around 15 million, but they are waiting for a big European club to come along and offer big money.
