The Barca Foundation have donated 120,000 euros to UNICEF to support the projects that the organisation is carrying out in Brazil in relation to children who have stopped going to school as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Barca are committed to the underprivileged. COVID-19 has caused havoc. One of the countries most affected, Brazil. And it is there that the Barca Foundation have put there focus on.

They have donated 120,000 euros to UNICEF. With it, Barca intend to do their bit in the fight against the coronavirus in Brazil, which has 50,000 deaths and around 1.5 million people infected.

The projects to which this money will go, the foundation said in a statement, are support campaigns for students and teachers in view of the reopening of schools and the creation of tools and materials for those children who need psychological help.

Barca and UNICEF, who in the 14 years which they have worked together have helped more than 2 million children worldwide, started their partnership in Brazil in 2011, with educational and social inclusion projects through sport.
