Businessman Victor Font, who was Joan Laporta's main opponent in the last FC Barcelona elections, said that he does not rule out a motion of censure "if red lines have been crossed" in the management of the current board of directors.
He also brought up the differences with arch-rivals Real Madrid. "They sign Mbappe because they have done things well and they have professionals who know what they are talking about. They do things well because there is talent. Here we have more talent and huge potential, but they are not working at the club. If that were the case, we would be able to compete against a state-owned club like Madrid," he said on Catalunya Radio.
"They are deceiving us, they are not telling us the truth. The economic situation is worse than it was three years ago and I'm not saying that, the statistics tell us that. It worries me," he added.
Font concluded by saying he was worried about Laporta's words: "Now the president has told us that for the first time we will balance the books, but that is a fallacy. If that is the case, it is because we will have sold players, renegotiated with Nike.... And if this is the case, it means that for the first time in three and a half years they have made a plan to reduce spending".
