Banega wrong-footed Buffon to give Argentina the lead
Lionel Messi did not feature for Argentina in their friendly against Italy on Friday so 'La Albiceleste' had to find inspiration from elsewhere, which they did through Sevilla's Ever Banega.
Their talisman Messi was rested out of precaution ahead of their second friendly against Spain on Tuesday and Argentina managed to weather an Italy enslaught before capitalising in the second half.
Their midfield picked possession off the 'Azzurri' and were quick to move it well just outside the box. The ball eventually found its way to Banega whose low strike wrong-footed Gianluigi Buffon before hitting the back of the net.
