Since the start of 2019, Gareth Bale has only been able to play in 14 matches of a possible 21 due to injury. In these matches, the Welshman has only scored four goals.

Almost six seasons after his arrival, Gareth Bale is now considered transferable. Madrid and their fans have lost patience with the Welshman, who has received more whistles than applause in recent times, with the match against Huesca the most recent example.

Benzema saved Los Blancos in the dying embers of the game, but only after Bale had missed a couple of clear chances. He is said to want to stay at Madrid, but the club have other ideas.

This is because 'the Cardiff express' is one of the players included in the club's big sale plans this summer. The forward is still admired in Great Britain, and could well return to the country in the near futures, with Madrid willing to listen to offers.

In a season in which he was supposed to replace the departed Cristiano Ronaldo, Bale has racked up the worst numbers of his time at Madrid. He has only scored 14 goals and provided five assists in 36 games, with 2019 being his worst on record at the club.

He has been injured for many of the matches this calendar year, and has only scored four goals. He is now more likely than ever to leave the club.
