Gareth Bale, after Wales' victory against Bulgaria in the Nations League, admitted that he needs to train a bit for him to be at his best. He was happy about his team's victory and made it clear that the bigger picture is the Euros in summer 2021.

Bale and his Wales side beat Bulgaria in the Nations League even the player was not 100%. He himself admitted this in the post-match interview, he said the focus was on the Euros and he congratulated his goalkeeper on keeping a clean sheet.

"Yes, it was a difficult game. I think all the games at the moment are difficult because, for example, I haven't returned to training yet. We're all at different stages (of our preparation). We kept on fighting until the end like we always do when we wear the Wales shirt and it paid off tonight," he said.

"They (Bulgaria) made it difficult for us, but in the second half, we picked up, played quicker and broke them down. A great start, that winning mentality builds confidence. Wayne Hennessey extends his record (of not conceding), so it was a great night," he added.

"We have to keep learning, keep improving and the bigger picture is the Euros and being ready for that," the Real Madrid player concluded. The ideal thing for him would be to shine for his country: Zidane does not count on him and at the moment, there are no offers to sign him.
