Alejandro Balde is a doubt for Saturday's game against Osasuna. The Barcelona full-back left the first leg against Benfica with a knock to one of his ankles and is expected to rest in order to be ready for the second leg.

Barcelona left the Estadio da Luz with a smile on their faces after surviving 70 minutes with a man down following Cubarsí's dismissal. This led to a lot of work for his team-mates, such as Alex Balde.

The Azulgrana full-back struggled to stay on his feet in the final minutes of the game. Flick, seeing how he was doing, decided to set up a double full-back with Gerard Martín at the back and himself up front.

It has now emerged that Balde finished the game with a knock to one of his ankles which means he is doubtful for the weekend. In fact, he could be rested against Osasuna to arrive fresh for the return leg against Benfica, as ‘Mundo Deportivo’ reports.

This Thursday, the Barcelona full-back will undergo medical tests, after his return from Lisbon, to determine whether it is a simple knock or a more serious injury that would prevent him from being at Montjuïc next Tuesday.
