Tiemoue Bakayoko posted a video on his Instagram account and made a harsh reflection after local police wrongly stopped him for a body check: "It was a human error, but they put my life in danger".

Tiemoue Bakayoko, currently playing for Milan, has been at the centre of a situation that has had the world talking in the last few hours. The Frenchman was arrested by local police officers, who stopped his car to check him and released him as soon as they realised who he was.

The midfielder expressed his feelings after the incident, which was trending on social media: "The Milan authorities recently said that it was a mistake by the police and that they realised it at the time".

"The error is human, I don't have a problem with that. But I have a problem with the way and the methodology used. I think it went beyond what it should. Why didn't they do a proper check? Asking for the papers of the vehicle, simply communicating...," Bakayoko continued.

For his part, he admitted that the viral video only showed a part of the situation: "In the video posted on social media you don't see all of it. It's the calmest part of the whole thing. I saw the gun about a metre away from me, on the passenger side of the window".

"It is clear that they put our lives in danger, whatever their reasons for doing so. It was a mistake, knowing that there was no certainty about the suspects arrested," said the Chelsea player.
