Bad news for Barca: Araujo to miss Cadiz game due to injury
Ronald Araujo will miss the next La Liga match against Cadiz due to a left leg injury.
The 2023/24 season has just started and Barcelona are already dealing with one of the first injuries of the term. Ronald Araujo was injured in the last training session and will be sidelined for several days.
"Araujo has a problem with his left hamstring. He's out and his recovery will mark his return," the Catalan side wrote on Twitter.
Xavi Hernandez's side have not specified how long the Uruguayan defender will be out of action but he is likely to miss the next La Liga meeting against Cadiz. His recovery time will depend on his progress.
The Spanish top flight is suffering a lot of injuries in the last days. In fact, Real Madrid will be without Eder Militao and Thibaut Courtois this campaign.
Elsewhere, young midfielder Arda Guler underwent successful surgery on Monday for a meniscus injury in his right knee. He is expected to be out of action for the next six to eight weeks.
