Espanyol have Vinicius Souza on loan. According to 'Sport', Atletico Madrid are keeping an eye on him. Although they want him in January, they will have to wait until he returns to Belgian club Lommel SK in 2023.
Vinicius Souza is happy in La Liga. The player said that "he is living a dream" when he made his debut for Espanyol against Celta Vigo. He has already played 14 competitive matches with Espanyol since he arrived in Cornella from Belgian team Lommel SK.
Atletico Madrid are keeping an eye on him and, according to 'Sport', they are the most interested club in signing Souza. His rights belong to 'City Group', the group of investors that own Manchester City.
Simeone's side asked about the possibility of signing him in January. However, they could not break the loan agreement in the middle of the season. For that reason, they will have to wait until the 2023-24 campaign.
However, Atletico will have to move fast if they want Souza because several clubs from the Premier League are also targeting him.
