Atletico take the lead with a Correa stunner
The Argentine hit a tremendous strike from the edge of the box which was impossible for Celta keeper Dituro.
Atletico Madrid took the lead at the Balaidos against Celta Vigo with a great goal by Angel Correa, one of the key players who won the 2020-21 season.
The visitors took the lead after a great move by another player who was key for them, Frenchman Thomas Lemar.
The Frenchman did the most difficult thing and gave the ball to Correa, who did not hesitate in shooting from the edge of the box. The Argentine had some freedom and he tried his luck with a very powerful shot which Dituro could not do anything about. It went in by the top corner.
That was the champions' first goal of the 2021-22 season after an even first quarter.
