Atletico optimistic about Soyuncu's possible arrival
Atletico Madrid want to restructure their squad as much as possible. One of the names on the table is that of Caglar Soyuncu, who the board are optimistic about closing the deal.
Atletico Madrid are bound hand and foot as far as future signings are concerned. The Madrid side will not be able to make any incorporation if no other player leaves before, as the economic situation is delicate.
However, that will not deprive the board from looking at the market to see if it is feasible to undertake any operation. One of the lines to be reinforced that is giving Cholo Simeone so many headaches is the defence.
The name of Caglar Soyuncu is on the table for the centre of defence. The Turkish player has no plans to renew his contract with Leicester and that would be a big point in favour of his arrival at the Civitas Metropolitano.
In addition, according to 'Mundo Deportivo', the Spanish club board are optimistic that an agreement can be reached. Although his arrival in June would be for free no matter what happens, Atletico do not rule out a January move if there is a departure first.
