We look forward to Atletico Madrid's first home game of the La Liga season as they take on Rayo Vallecano at the Wanda Metropolitano. 'Los Colchoneros' came home from Valencia with a point after a 1-1 draw last weekend, while Rayo were thrashed 4-1 by Sevilla.

TEAM NEWS

Atletico: "Los Colchoneros" will have a full squad to pick from for the game other than the injured Vitolo, and left-back Filipe Luis could possibly miss out due to uncertainty over his future with the club.

Rayo Vallecano: Míchel's side will be without the injured Emiliano Velazquez, while new signing Alvaro Garcia is unlikely to start as he returns to full fitness.

Diego Simeone: "We do not have a large squad, 18 players and the goalkeepers. Everyone will get opportunities and minutes this season."

Míchel: "It's going to be a difficult match, Atletico have won a title and we await the best Atleti side in the last few years. It will be a joy to play at the new ground [Wanda Metropolitano] for the players."
