Atletico Madrid have today revealed their new badge as they prepare for an "historic season."
With the club also set to move from the Vicente Calderon to the Wanda Metropolitano stadium it promises to be quite the summer for the Spanish side.
The club also announced today that they had sold a record-breaking number of season tickets for the 2017/2018 season and to cap the day off nicely, midfielder Saul Ninguez signed a nine-year contract extension.
The badge itself has not changed hugely, with the bear and the strawberry tree still present.
Several of the changes are linked to the club's heritage, with the name for the new stadium having been inspired by the name of Atletico's first ground, the Metropolitano. Whilst the rounding of the new badge has been done as a "gesture to the first emblem of the club" according to a club statement.
According to the 'Daily Mail', the new badge is another step forward in Atletico's attempts at globalising their brand.
