Atletico Madrid asked to get Sergio Reguilon on loan from Tottenham. The Spaniard needs to leave the English side, but Spurs do not want to loan him out again. The Premier League outfit will only sell him.
Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo told the media that they would not sign more footballers in the rest of the transfer window. He said that they would just focus on reducing their wage bill.
However, Atletico Madrid requested to get Sergio Reguilon on loan from Tottenham, according to journalist Giacomo Iacobellis. The left-back played for Sevilla two seasons ago, where he was important for the La Liga side.
Tottenham's position is very clear. They will only let the Spaniard go if it is a permanent sale. That is why Atletico's request could end up getting rejected.
Despite having several offers from clubs like Nottingham Forest and Lazio, the player has reportedly shown his desire to return to La Liga. However, Atletico will not find it all easy to get him.
